The documentary film Bosch: the garden of dreams, has been produced by López-Li Films and Museo Nacional del Prado, which commemorates this year’s fifth centenary of the death of the painter with a great exhibition called “Bosch, The V centenary exhibition”, sponsored by Fundación BBVA.
Under the direction of Jose Luis Lopez Linares, the documentary film focuses on the most important painting by the artist and one of the most iconic in the world: `The Garden of Earthly Delights'. In this feature there is a conversation among artists, writers, philosophers, musicians and scientists, about the personal interpretations of the painting, historical and artistic, bringing back a conversation that was started 500 years ago in the court of the Dukes of Nassau (Brussels ), when it is believed that the painting was commissioned by the Bosco.
There are very few records on the identity and biography of Bosch, which helps feeding the enigma of the meaning hidden in his works. As Falkenburg, narrator of the documentary and debate moderator with all participant says: "At the end of the novel, the writer reveals the mystery. In this case, the author does not want you to solve the mystery, he wants you to stay in the mystery.".
